Review: 1984

1984 by George Orwell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wonderful book, absolutely loved it. A vast amount of twists. A really strong story and point of view, about modern society and how we live (or think we live). This is definitely a must read for every person out there, and all those who claim to be part of any political side and a party member. The way Orwell strikes our perception of society simply majestic, and brave I would say.

There is no thought without language, no way of self-expression, newspeak is all you need. They melt your brain and you love it. Forget society as you know it, forget freedom, forget life as yours, you are a party member now. And remember you can commit any crime you wish, any heresy and they can always find you.
